A residential appraiser in Georgia in the 1990s, James began work in commercial real estate in Texas in 2017 with some of Austin's most seasoned appraisers.
Following more than 30 years of service to financial institutions, cities, counties, the state, businesses, attorneys, and private clients throughout Texas, that long standing Austin appraisal business closed its doors in 2025. Hill and Valley Real Estate, LLC was created in 2025. James continues to work closely with practicing veterans of the former business in the hope of upholding that decades long dedication to high standards in valuation services.
